Travelling Victoria
Vol: 180 december 2014

Thanks once again for your support and kind comments regarding our newsletter and services, and we hope you continue to enjoy the contents and perhaps get motivated for your next trip out into the country.  We are so lucky living in this great country where we can come and go as we please, and enjoy the beauty of the bush.  Plenty of people experienced the pristine environments of the Lower Goulburn from a canoe over the past few weeks.  The last increased flow for the river made canoeing even more appealing with plenty of water and forest birds tending their young along the way.  They talk of must do things in regional Victoria such as a drive along the Great Ocean Road, visit the massive Grampians and take a riverboat cruise on the Mighty Murray.  Well we reckon a couple of hours or more slowly paddling down the Lower Goulburn is as good as it gets.  Canoes on the Goulburn is a must do experience, and we are ready to give you a great experience on the old river.
Last month’s lucky winner for the $200.00 credit for any canoeing/camping adventure on the Lower Goulburn is Robert Purdey from Middle Brighton.  Robert knew that a young eagle is called a Eaglet.  There will be another chance for you to win later in this newsletter.

Product of the Month.

Each month we will promote a product with discounted incentive for all recipients of this newsletter. This is the first time we have done this and we hope it is very popular.  It also is our way of saying thanks for your past support, which is greatly appreciated.  This month (November) the product is the “Bridge to Bridge”.  This is a 2-day camp with two canoeing safaris.  Situated on the Lower Goulburn not far from Echuca is your secluded spot.  You bring your own camping stuff including cooking gear, tents, tables and chairs and alike.  We provide the toilet, water for cooking and drinking, transport to and from the safaris and fishing gear is available.
Here is the deal of the month- Half-price for a minimum group of 4.  The normal cost is $185.00 per person 50% off until the end of November to book.  When booking mention Travelling Victoria special deal.   Email    phone 0428 585 227.

River Country Adventours have gift vouchers for any amount and any duration.  These make a tremendous Christmas present for that hard to buy for person in your life.  All you do is contact us and we will fill out the voucher appropriately and pop it in the mail to you.  It is that simple.
Speaking of Christmas, it won’t be long now before the jolly fellow gets cracking delivering presents all over the world.  I remember well my first bike came from Santa, it was the best gift a young boy living in the country could possibly get.  It was a red 24 inch Malvern Star, my pride and joy and I was eight.  What was your best ever Christmas Present?

Here is your chance to win that illusive $200.00 “gift voucher” from River Country Adventours.  All is required is the correct answer and all these go into an old hat to be drawn sometime next month.  So have a go and as we always say you have to be in it to win it!

Merry Christmas.

Another year has almost gone, so quickly and Christmas is looming.  We would like to take this opportunity of wishing you and your families all the very best for the festive season.  May it be peaceful and relaxing with your families and loved ones.  May also the new year bring happiness and joy to all.  These days with so much bad news in newspapers and on T.V let us enjoy each others company and have some fun.

Cattle grazing in National Parks.

I would like your input on the subject of cattle grazing in National Parks in Victoria.  Do you think it is the correct decision to keep cattle out of the parks or do you think they should be allowed back in to eat down the grass?  Your opinion is anonymous but will help us with this survey.  So yes or no, and we thank you for your input.
