Travelling Victoria
Vol: 148 february 2012

Welcome to this special edition of "Travelling Victoria' which is being sent far and wide to almost 3000 people. Thanks for all your kind comments and support, this is greatly appreciated. We are enjoying good conditions for canoeing along many sections of the beautiful Goulburn River and Murray, a lot different to last year when we were experiencing severe flooding of the Northern Rivers. We are open and looking to advance our business at Shepparton, Nagambie and the Lower Goulburn National Park (Wyuna-Kanyapella). All enquiries most welcome.

The lucky winner of last month's competition is Beth O'Brien from Taylors Lakes, Beth knew that Newcastle is further south than Ceduna. There will be another chance to win the $200.00 'gift voucher' for any canoeing adventure on the Lower Goulburn River later in this newsletter.

Facebook.

River Country Adventours is now on facebook, and we invite you take a look and become a 'friend' on facebook. There are also some wonderful photos of the river and spectacular shots taken on a flight tour to Lake Eyre last year.

Hope you enjoy, and as we new to this medium your advice and comments will be appreciated.

Lake Eyre Tours.

With all the recent rain storms across Central and Northern Queensland, Lake Eyre will once again be holding a massive amount of water. This brings the water birds to breed and feed on the fish being washed down the flooded rivers and creeks. Our initial flights from Shepparton/Echuca are as follows-
April 10-11; April 21-22; April 26-27; May 3-4.

We look forward to your enquiries and to be able to furnish further information such as itineraries and fact sheets on the huge lake.

Adventurous Getaway.

A very popular product in the Wyuna region. All you need to bring is your food and refreshments, bedding (something to sleep on and under) and good sense of adventure. We cater during the two canoeing safaris and will have the camp completely set up prior to your arrive. You will have the campsite to yourselves with a sandbar to try your luck with some fishing. The cost of this 2-day getaway is $199.00 per adult with kids under 12 with their parents free. While the weather is good now is a good time to be on the river and for further information and bookings phone Rob 0428 585 227.

Competition.

Here is your chance to win that $200.00 'Gift Voucher' for any canoeing adventure on the Lower Goulburn River. It would cover the "Adventurous Getaway" mentioned above. Anyway have a crack at it. All correct entries will be acknowledged and then tossed into an old cricket cap for the draw later in the month. Goog luck!
