Travelling Victoria
winter edition 2017

Welcome to another edition of our popular newsletter, and thanks for all your positive comments and continued support, greatly appreciated. The winter has arrived again, cold and now we are getting some welcome rain after the driest June on record. All the crop farmers will be hoping all the frosts are replaced by good soaking rain. This will also stimulate growth out in our forests, and give the rivers a bit of new water, all good. There has been an environmental flow down the Goulburn which will stimulate the banks and give the river a bit of a flush. All good for canoeing and fishing. Now is good time to plan your canoeing break, book in to get the best deal and the best of the river. Spring is just around the corner.

The lucky winner from the last competition in Vol. 202 is Kay Schultz from Broadmeadows. Everyone knew that Lake Eyre is situated in South Australia. There will be another chance to win a $200.00 gift voucher for any canoeing adventure on the Lower Goulburn.

Outback flight tours

After 20-years we have developed more outback flight tours. all tours begin in Shepparton, however we can arrange courtesy pick up along the way. In addition to the Flight to Eyre and the whale watching tours we have the following adventures which we hope will be a great interest to all of you.

All tours are available with a minimum of 7-passengers, and we look forward to your inquiry and bookings before the weather gets too hot.

Best in the bush?

The last time the Kyabram Football team lost was against Benalla in the Goulburn Valley League grand final in 2015. Since then it has not lost a match in the 2016 season and where premiers and this season so far remain undefeated on top and clear favourites for this years flag. Please let me know if you know of a team that has a better record than this. The coach is Paul Newman who took over at the start of last season and so far he hasn't tasted defeat.
