"Thanks so much for a great weekend on the Goulburn River last weekend. We had a beautiful time. Camped first night on a beautiful rocky beach and second night tucked away in Hughes Creek. Had a small amount of rain Saturday arvo but nothing a small fire didn’t fix to warm us up. Great canoe, plenty of water and the bags are terrific! See you again next year"
Thank You so much for the camp this week. The kids had such an amazing time! Just wanted to say your staff that you hire, whether it be the instructors (Barry & Les) or the guys driving the buses, or trailers full of canoes are honestly fantastic. Very easy company to work with and can meet our camp needs or expectations. Please pass a special thanks to Greg who drove out of his way to find a mobile phone a student had left in the Gulf. Thank you so much for doing this, even though it wasn't found. we look forward to using your services again next year!
I did the 2 day 1 night self-guided tour from bridge to bridge, down the Goulburn River. It was simply fantastic. Rob is extremely accommodating, knowledgable and so very friendly and kind. I felt at ease and less nervous about my solo adventure very soon. He showed me everything at the camp, drove me up to the bridge, and then I was on my own with the kayak until midday the next day. The experience was amazing. There was nobody else on the river so for large parts it was just me and the sounds of birds, the occasional splash of a jumping fish or a startled duck, and the rare thump of a hopping wallaby. I will definitely be back for perhaps a longer trip or also just a short one. Experiencing nature from the river is just something else.
Rob was knowledgeable and approachable, very friendly even when we met at the wrong meeting place initially! A great historian/storyteller of the local area. He helped set us and our kids (age 6 and 8) up on the bank of the Goulburn River with all necessary equipment including water. We spotted soaring eagles, cockatoos, a big male kangaroo, with fish surfacing along our river journey. We were the only humans along the river aside from the odd fishermen. Rob checked in along the way which was reassuring for our kids. A few hours away from humanity in idyllic part of the world was exactly what we needed. Returned to holiday accommodation feeling satisfied and a little weary!
What an amazing day! Just hubby and I. We paddled 15km with ease and saw some wonderful wildlife, we did not see another person except occasionally Rob, the tour guide, who parked periodically to check we were okay (I was a little nervous at times so was very reassured by this😀). The river was smooth and the kayak was easy to manoeuvre. Will definitely do this again.
